Hey everyone!
Looking for a cool Christmas gift this year? What about a calendar or photo book with family photos? Makes a great gift for your parents, or grandparents who seem to already have everything under the sun.
If you're looking for Christmas cards this year that are both cute and affordable, you've gotta look at Shutterfly. There are a lot of websites out there with a lot of price ranges - some not so cute and not so affordable. However, Shutterfly has a great selection at great prices.
I've also made photobooks through them and really like their layouts and the print quality. See below for a demo of my favorite photobook...

Mrs. Greer
Yep. That's me.
Sadly, this will be very short, as it is very late. And I'm already kicking myself for staying up too late.
I have successfully made it through about one month of marriage.
I think I'm now qualified to write a book.
:o)

So it's been forever...
I don't have time to post anymore... so sad... the reason is because of too much work.
You know, I'm having one of those times in my life where I'm really frustrated with people. Mostly people at work, but even some of my friends. I feel like I'm at a cross roads with some of them... it's like I can't keep making the effort to keep them in my life. If they don't want to put in some effort, then fine. I can back off... and actually, I will back off. It's too hurtful to want to know what's going on with people and not even get so much as a return phone call. That's so lovely, let me tell you. So, that's it. That's all I'm gonna say.

A year ago today...
A year ago today, I went to the zoo. Got lost in the parking garage trying to get TO the zoo... walked a mile at least to get BACK to the zoo... then really had to find the bathroom, but couldn't, thus naming the Houston Zoo's map the Non-Map. After an hour (I'm serious about the hour), and much searching under MUCH duress, the facilities were located. They were impossible to find because they were hidden behind the koala bear exhibit, (in case you are ever there). After finding the facilities, the next several hours were spent checking out some pretty weird looking animals, while dodging copious amounts of small children in Halloween costumes. It was Zoo Boo week apparently. I didn't know yet that today was a day I needed to mark on my calendar.
A year ago today was my first date with Blake.
After the zoo, we wandered around town trying to get back to a place we both halfway sorta recognized. After that we decided to eat dinner at Berryhill, and I wanted Courtney to meet Blake, so she came out too. Then we went out to Armadillo Palace and then Stag's Head... or maybe it was Stag's Head and then Armadillo Palace... I don't recall...
After a long evening of just hanging out, Blake took me home. We stayed up talking really late that night about anything and everything... just getting to know one another. I seem to remember that it was a little chilly outside, and we were sitting in his truck chatting. For HOURS.
Little did I know that I had just found my very best friend, and the love of my life. It's been an interesting year, but a wonderful one.
One year.
Just a drop in the bucket.
Love you...

Let sleeping dogs lie...
Okay, so this is what Fritz does best... Sleep. If you so much as BEGIN to sit down, he starts fussing to get into your lap. He is a lap dog DELUXE! The thing is, he's OLD. Too old to jump up in your lap by himself. So he'll fuss... he'll sneeze... he'll snort... then he'll paw at you... then he'll bark if you ignore him. He is the ULTIMATE lap dog! But he's sweet and we love him!
Not sure if you can tell, but this is my life on the couch when I have both boys. I can't move without waking one of them up. Sam in front of my feet, and that little white fuzzy blur is the Fritzer... He'd much rather be curled up next to my face, but I forced him to stay there behind my knees... he finally complied, sighed and then passed out with his nose wedged between my calves. Hilarious...
That's a $150 Tempurpedic pillow Fritz is laying on... along with all my other decorative couch pillows... and you wonder why they still have the protective plastic on them!!!!
SPOILED!!!
But we love them!

I'm so spoiled...
Sooo... when I got picked up from the airport when I got back from Hawaii, I first treated myself to a much needed shower to wash off the plane funk, but then was treated to a spa pedicure,
and then taken to an amazing dinner for two at Sullivan's Steakhouse...
Here's a cute pic of us from that night. :o)

More from Hawaii
This is the forest we hiked a mile through (after kayaking 2 miles)... only to do it again. I guess we hiked 2 miles, and kayaked 4. I was a little bit tired...
Lava rocks on the beach of Hanalei Bay (Near our hotel)
Me and mom in the forest... if I smell another rotten mango... (insert threatening statemente here)...
Me & Dad on the hike to the waterfall....
Hanalei Bay at sunset.
Kaui, Hawaii
Hang Ten!
Dad did GREAT!
SURFING!!! YAY!!!
Yep! That's me!
Gotta bail! :o) What a blast.
The view from our room...
Kilueae Lighthouse & Refuge
Lucy, Auntie Becca & Abigail. The beach near our hotel - Hanalei Bay
We kayaked and then hiked to this 125 ft waterfall... the water was FRIGID and hit you hard, but worth it.
Mom, Dad & I at the luau... I borrowed Lucy's plumeria lei. They smell GREAT!

Rather be fishin'...
Here are some fishing pictures from the coast. This pic is from my first time wade fishing, and I didn't catch a darn thing. The wader's are for a 6'4" man... needless to say, they swallowed me whole, but kept me from losing my mind. :-)

This is Jeff. It is now tradition to take a picture of Jeff sleeping in the backseat on all trips. I hear this is not something I just recently thought of myself and that they've been documenting this phenomenon for YEARS. WE LOVE YOU JEFFRY!

I'll post more soon from our trip this weekend. I caught one keeper trout - BARELY kept at about 15.5", but lots of fun to catch in the water with 'em. I have to say that fishing WITH the fish and seeing them swim right at you is really exciting!
I did have an episode with my shoelaces coming untied in the water and they kept tickling my legs... naturally, I assumed this was Jaws and I was about to die. I put on the waders again after that! HAHA! I eventually want to wean myself from the waders so I can be hardcore like the boys! There were a few sharks in the surf with us and a HUGE ray on Sunday, but thank GOD I never saw them. I woulda commenced a-walkin' on the water if I had! HAHA! But, I knew they were there... and I stayed in the water. Those of you who know my history understand what a huge improvement that is!

MORE VEGAS PICTURES!!! FINALLY!!!
VEGAS DAY 1:
Rush to the airport to catch an early flight. After getting through security, we grabbed some coffee & breakfast. It took all of 10 minutes for Blake to spill coffee on his t-shirt & shorts... mind you, this is not just ANY shirt.. it's his new, favorite, highly-prized moon pie t-shirt... and it's white... and the shorts were khaki... you see, Blake has a very strange skill. If there is a disposable cup in the stack of hundreds with a hole in it, he will get it ERRRRRRY time! Just ask him. It happens. Sooo... we get to Vegas on time.... only to wait for the shuttle to come get us. That took a while. Once we got to the hotel, they weren't ready for us to check in yet, so off to the pool we go. Which, I might add, has been my plan all along. So we crash at the pool, track down a waitress and order $12 pina coladas... yes folks, $12...but yummy! We ended up traipsing all over the nearby hotels while we were waiting to check in and BOY were we wiped out. We had dinner reservations at Mon Ami Gabi at 7:30...(http://www.monamigabi.com/). However, 4:30 rolls around and we're staaaarving!! Then we had a moment of reality and realized it's 6:30 our time. Needless to say, we moved up our reservation and dinner was great. We had steak & seafood and creme brulee.
Us still in "plane" clothes... people were always offering to take our picture for us... That backpack was super heavy... poor Blake... *Swoon* My Hero!

Blake's crazy... haha... Just threw himself out there... literally... his landing skills suck, though... just ask my head...

Blake with our $12 beverages... no, they're not both his... :o)

One of the many statues at Caesar's... notice the AWESOME Moon Pie shirt... haha..
DAY 2:
Objective numero uno was to sleep in. I don't think we did anything before 10am! Today was the first "fun day" of the trip! We went indoor skydiving... (no worries... i have pics! http://www.vegasindoorskydiving.com/) Blake crashed into me twice, nearly killing me the second time, but I escaped with little more that a tweaked knee and a concussion ;o). All in all, we had a blast. Then, we were right next to a Ross and i needed shorts. I don't own any anymore and it was hot... so we went to Ross. bad idea. There was a unified team of living brain donors working there, doing their best to move at the speed of smell. it was bad. finally we got the shorts (and Blake didn't commit homicide) and went back to town where we continued exploring hotels. We also went to new york, new york to ride the roller coaster... Remember, this is after my near death experience when Blakey decided to use me to break his fall... i was certain i was suffering from a head injury at this point... so I said what the hey, let's ride a roller coaster!!!! What could POSSIBLY go wrong? Hahahaha!!! I survived and it was awesome. We also visited the 4-story M&M store... everything M&M you could imagine.... and everything you couldn't or wouldn't want to... We did get some M&M's with almonds and they are awesome!!! We had a good time people watching there too. That evening we went to RAO'S Italian Restaurant (http://www.harrahs.com/casinos/caesars-palace/restaurants-dining/raos-detail.html). It was decent, but not as good as we had hoped.

Indoor skydiving "uniform". My suit won "most ghetto & most holes".
Before my near death experience... Thank God for the helmet... I didn't know he was gonna use me to break his fall(s)... :oP
That's me just gettin' off the ground... crazy feelin'!
Catchin' some air... (The guy didn't turn the flash on... sorry it's so blurry...)
Yeah... That's Blake. He had no idea this was happening... Let's just say he's not so thrilled with this pic... hahah... I'll probably get in trouble for posting it...

Blake's crazy... haha... Just threw himself out there... literally... his landing skills suck, though... just ask my head...
In front of New York, NY... see the coaster? Yeah... fun stuff with a concussion...
Goin' to see the real thing is on the list...
M&M Heaven!!!! Oh yeah... those are the infamous Ross shorts... Took blood sweat and tears to acquire them. Several people had near death experiences in that store and didn't even know it...
DAY 3:
HOOVER DAM DAY
After stopping for breakfast at "The Coffee Cup" in Boulder City and having a stooopid good burrito, we jumped back in Zyppy and tootled off to the Hoover Dam. HOOVER DAM HERE WE COME!!! The Hoover Dam is pretty dam awesome. If I had a dollar for all the dam jokes Blake & I told that day, I'd be rich... it was non-stop. And the later it got in the day, the worse they got... but hey, we laughed a lot! We took the generator tour and quite possibly have located the world's most boring tour guide ever. Let's just say he did NOT love his job. After spending several hours there, we went to lake mead and played in the crystal clear, ice cold water. Then we drove through the desert and went climbing down hills in our flip flops. We were filthy by the time we got back! Decided to do a casual dinner that night and ate in the food court. I think we had fish & chips and chicken fingers...wow.... healthy!!! hahaha!! Then we walked around on the strip a little, listened to some live music... saw a 65-year-old man with a mo hawk (yeah, it was white)! hilarious... but of course i didn't have my camera to document that...
Outside the Coffee Cup... see the sign??
Me & Zyppy
Ummm.. guess where we are... & yes I have a shirt on...
There are fish down there... so we all know what he's thinkin'... The boy wants to go fishin' at Sea World... It's a sickness...
This is in front of the suspension bridge that is being constructed... it's supposedly going to be one of the largest ever built.
Crystal clear water... and FUH-REEEEZING cold... but fun!!
DAY 4:
GRAND CANYON.... already blogged about that one, see photos below!
DAY 5:
Relax day. Didn't do too much... just piddled around town seeing the rest of the sights and recovered from putting 700 miles on the rental car in 2 days! We needed to pick up a T-shirt for Jeff and decided our feet were on strike and took a cab. After all, we'd been walking all week... Dinner was at Joe's Seafood Prime Steak & Stone Crab... holy moley..... this was definitely the culinary highlight of the trip (http://www.icon.com/joes/Las_Vegas_home.html). It's in the forum shops in between Caesars & Bellagio. We got all dressed up for dinner and had a really great evening. I did a little bit of shopping after dinner and decided my shoes were trying to kill me and walked back barefoot. Classy, but I didn't care. I was going to be crippled if I didn't! We decided we needed to go explore the night life at least once just to say we did... it was OK... not really our scene, but we got cute pics! :o) ...and then it was back to Texas... home sweet home!
Before dinner at Joe's...
After dinner and before checkin' out the clubs... (didn't last long...)
...and that's our vacation!
